This is an annual free public event celebrating stories of the Mixed experience
through films, readings, workshops and live performances.  The Festival is an
inclusive event which brings together film and book lovers, innovative and emerging
artists, and multiracial/multicultural individuals, families and friends.

Long Beach Jazz Festival

Les McCann Swiss Movement featuring Javon Jackson;
Jazz Attack featuring Jonathan Butler, Richard Elliot & Rick Braun;
Angie Stone; Ramsey Lewis; Hiroshima; and many others!

Everyone in the jazz world is deeply saddened by the
passing of Mr. Wayman Tisdale, who was
scheduled to perform on Friday, August 7, 2009,
with Norman Brown, Eric Darius and Gail Jhonson.  
There will be a special dedication to Mr. Tisdale on Friday, August 7, 2009 at the
festival, and the entire festival will be dedicated to this “Gentle Giant” of jazz.
